A Side: Courgetti

Wheat is a problem for many people whether they are celiac or not. Unfortunately most people have many health issues that they don’t even realise are associated with wheat. Read about some of the health problems caused by grains.

Grains are definitely on the red list and should be avoided at all costs.

Pasta is included in the grain category as it is made primarily of wheat flour. Courgettes work really well as a pasta substitute. They hold their shape and have a similar texture to flat noodles. they are on the green LCHF food list, so eat your fill!

This will serve 4 as a side.


  • 2 large courgettes
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil


Slice the courgettes lengthways using a cheese slicer, mandolin or spiraliser to get the shape of flat noodles.

Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan. Turn the heat up high and stir fry the courgetti for a few minutes until tender.

Serve with your dish of choice, here they are served with bolognese.
