I have made a twist on my Low Carb Muesli having found some Chinese Five Spice in the press. This is high in both good fats and protein, so make a great LCHF start to the day.
Ingredients:
- 80g of sliced almonds
- 50g of sunflower seeds
- 50g of pumpkin seeds
- 50g of roughly chopped hazelnuts
- 50g of roughly chopped whole almonds
- 1 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil
- 2 tsp of Chrinese 5 spice
- 1 tsp of ground ginger
- 2 tsp of ground cinnamon
Method:
Pre heat the oven to 180 deg C. Melt the coconut oil in the oven on a roasting tray.
Mix all the other ingredients thoroughly in a bowl. When the coconut oil is melted, pour over the nut mixture and mix well with a large spoon.
Return all the ingredients to the tray and place into the oven for 12-15 minutes until toasted.
