Your granny was right – snacking will make you fat. Jason Fung, a doctor who manages patients with obesity and T2 Diabetes talks about the importance of avoiding snacking. Eating little and often or continuous grazing through the day results in a constant drip-feed topping-up of insulin levels. It’s insulin that dictates weight gain and the metabolic disorders that go along with it.
So an ideal snack to have is coffee, without the sugar, preferably without the milk (cream is ok as it doesn’t impact insulin) and definitely without the biscuit!
